                                   | The Bachelor of Commerce is a university transfer program and  provides a comprehensive grounding in business and commerce with the  opportunity to choose a specialisation (major). 
 In the first  year of the course, students enrol in the Diploma of Commerce at  Holmesglen (Chadstone campus). Please refer to separate entry for more  detailed information on this course.
 
 In the Diploma, students  undertake eight subjects taken from the Deakin University Bachelor of  Commerce. Students must pass six out of the eight subjects offered at  Holmesglen in a single year to be eligible for entry into the second  year of the Bachelor of Commerce at Deakin.
 
 Students may  complete the second year and the third year of the Bachelor of Commerce  at Deakin University (Melbourne campus at Burwood, Geelong campus at  Waurn Ponds or the Warrnambool campus).

                                   | Year 12/Matriculation or relevant senior employment experience. English language proficiency level of IELTS 5.5, ISLPR 2+, TOEFL 530 or equivalent.
 Recommended: A good background in Mathematics, Accounting and Economics.
 
 For  entry into the second year at Deakin, students must pass six out of the  eight Deakin units offered at Holmesglen in the Diploma of Commerce.

                                   | In 2008: $10,500 (First year at Holmesglen).In 2009: $11,200 (First year at Holmesglen).
 
 In  2008, the indicative tuition fee for the Bachelor of Commerce at Deakin  University is $17,010. Where Holmesglen offers a program with a partner  institution, every attempt is made to give an indication of the tuition  fee for the course at the partner institution. Students should refer to  the partner institution's website for more current information.

                                   | Teaching  methods comprise face-to-face classroom teaching, lectures, tutorials,  discussions in groups or as a whole class; language support; individual  learning and usage of the intranet to provide students with access to  course information. | 
                                 
                                   |  Course Outcomes | 
                                 
                                   | On  satisfactory completion of all subjects at Holmesglen, students will  receive the Diploma of Commerce from Holmesglen. On successful  completion of two further years of study at Deakin University, students  will receive a Bachelor of Commerce awarded by Deakin University. |
